New publication in the prestigious Journal of Neuroscience

Congratulations to Daniel Alicea, Marizabeth Perez, Carolina Maldonado, Carihann Dominicci-Cotto and Dr. Bruno Marie on their new publication in the prestigious Journal of Neuroscience! In this paper they show that a known actin regulator, Cortactin, is present  at the NMJ and that it is required pre-synaptically for the morphological and electrophysiological modifications associated with synaptic plasticity. They propose a model where Wg/Wnt signaling controls the increase of Cortactin expression to regulate rapid activity-dependent synaptic plasticity.
